Independent Insurance Coverage in the New York Tri-State Area

Insurance is something you hope you never have to use but always want to have on hand. As an independent insurance agent, I work hard to get you the coverage you need at a price you can afford. Let me take a moment to explain what I offer and what I do.

Different Types of Insurance

Here at J. Hoffman Insurance, we offer the following types of insurance coverage:

Auto: Basic auto insurance provides financial protection for damage caused by a car accident. Mandatory in most U.S. states, coverage pays for property damage, medical bills (if someone is injured), and collision repair. More comprehensive auto policies cover damage to your vehicle not caused by an accident. Coverage may include protection against vandalism, falling objects, fire, theft, and weather events.

Home: In addition to covering damage to the physical structure of your home, a good homeowner's policy protects personal belongings and other structures (fences, unattached garages, sheds, etc.) from fires, windstorms, lightning, vandalism, and theft. It should also include some amount of liability coverage in the event a guest is injured on your property. We also offer our clients condo and flood insurance.

Business: Just like homeowner's insurance, companies need commercial property coverage to protect the physical structures of their businesses from damage or loss from fires, vandalism, theft, and other unexpected events. Many companies also choose to carry general liability insurance to cover legal hassles filed by customers or employees.

Renters & Landlord Insurance: There are serious risks associated with both owning an apartment building/house and renting a room there. Landlords should carry a specific type of insurance that protects their investment from unforeseen events while renters can obtain coverage that shields their personal belongings from damage or loss.

Independent Agent Benefits

Being an independent agent means that I am not beholden to the insurance companies. I do not take orders from them when it comes to which products I offer or recommend. In other words, I work for the customer. That simple fact gives me the freedom I need to shop around for the best possible coverage for your unique situation. And because I have many connections in the industry, I can secure a great price for you, your family, or your business.
